Citizens of Kyrgyzstan need a visa to travel to the Czech Republic, as it is part of the Schengen Area.
Visas fall into two main types:
a short-term category C Schengen visa
a long-term national category D visa
The short-term category C visa is intended for trips of up to 90 days within 180 days (tourism, business trips, short courses).
The long-term category D visa is intended for stays longer than 90 days, including study at institutions in the Czech Republic.
Visa applications are reviewed by the Czech consular authorities. Documents are submitted through visa centres or directly through the consulate, depending on the type of visa and the country of application.
