Student and Tourist Visa to Malaysia (2024–2026)

How the application works

Malaysia allows citizens of Kyrgyzstan to enter visa-free for short trips. This makes the country convenient for tourism and short visits.

However, for a long stay, study or other purposes, an appropriate visa or permit must be arranged.

Visa-free entry

Citizens of Kyrgyzstan may stay in Malaysia without a visa for up to 30 days under the following conditions:

• the purpose of the trip is tourism or a short visit

• a valid international passport

• the passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of return

• the permitted length of stay must be observed

On entry, you may be asked for:

• a return ticket

• proof of accommodation (hotel booking)

• proof of sufficient financial means (approximately the equivalent of 100 USD per day)

• an immigration card (completed on entry)

After passing through control, a stamp with the entry date and the permitted exit date is placed in the passport.

Important: exceeding the permitted length of stay may result in fines, deportation and restrictions on future entry.

1. Tourist stay (visa-free)

• short trips

• visiting friends

2. Student visa (Student Pass)

Suitable for:

• studying at universities, colleges and language schools

• may include medical requirements

How to apply for a student visa

The process usually involves the following stages:

• admission to an educational institution

• receiving an official invitation

• submitting an application through the educational institution

• obtaining the entry approval (Visa Approval Letter)

• entering the country and obtaining student status
